Savannah artist Troy Wandzel is adding his mark to SeeS.A.W.’s rotating “Muralcle on 34th Street” this week. Stop by and get your portrait painted and learn something from this brilliant character! For instance, today I got schooled on the great textile strike of 1912, and the fearless women who picketed with signs that read “We want bread, but we want roses, too!” Damn straight.

To pass the time during long flights, artist Nina Katchadourian goes to the lavatory, plays dress-up with tissue paper, and creates hilarious self-portrait photos in the style of Flemish Renaissance paintings. Talk about a ‘ssaincey lady!
Classic Sesame Street style.

Hung out with two stars at the SCAD 2012 Senior Showcase today - oh la la for me! Delaney Yurco was as sweet as could be in her performance as Tapley in l’esprit d’escalier, a story of a daughter who receives the love she so richly deserves from her mother. Yay for my good friend Caroline Aylward who directed this hopeful film!
And kudos to my gal pal Claire Clayton for co-writing the script!
Getting comfy on the couch with Tiffani Taylor and WTOC11 this morning chatting about our 2nd Annual Scholarship Fundraiser and Artist Reception tomorrow night at Ruth’s Chris Lounge and Tiffani Taylor Gallery from 5-7P.
I had the huge honor to receive the Tiffani Taylor Endowed Painting Scholarship this past year, and she is sweet enough to feature thirteen of my most recent paintings and drawings in an upcoming exhibition at Ruth’s Chris Lounge in Savannah, GA. The reception will take place Thursday, May 31st from 5-7P.

A visit to Tiffani Taylor Gallery in Savannah, GA is always a sweet, but going there to sign my first artist contract with her and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse to exhibit my work is as rich as lavender buttercream frosting. Boy, this is quite a Thursday!
“Two creators. Five contributors. Seven ideas. One vision. Now, who’s [impressed]?” - ME!
The Savannah-born culinary design collective known as Salted & Styled is featured in Savannah Magazine’s May/June 2012 issue. It is befitting for such hardworking and inspirational women to receive such a spread in the publication’s current edition and I am honored to have my name included as a contributing member to this talented circle. Consider my copy purchased!
